Tugs shift Telford 30 into Table Bay Harbour. Aerial photo taken via helicopter. An exciting day of aerial photography of Telford 30 vessel via drone and helicopter on the same day. Helicopter has it’s advantages of speed to get to the vessel (5 mins vs 35 mins of drone via launch boat), amazing 4K video you can obtain via drone as you can be low over the water.
Factors that will affect the choice of helicopter or drone option would be if the vessel is further out to sea helicopter will be quicker, especially if the vessel isn’t stopping but passing Cape Town for aerial photography alone. If the shoot was within the Harbour, more difficult to obtain permission to operate a drone within, helicopter much easier but height restrictions would apply.
